Child & Adolescent Therapist

My name is Anjali D’Souza and my pronouns are she/her.

I am dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for young individuals. With a focus on building trust and fostering resilience, my goal is to empower children and adolescents to navigate their trauma, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and ultimately thrive in their lives. I believe in the importance of joining with families and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for my clients, and I am committed to ongoing learning and growth to best serve those in my care.

I completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a certification in Trauma at Antioch University Seattle. My training has a specific emphasis on childhood trauma. While I specialize in trauma, I welcome clients from all backgrounds. I believe that regardless of one’s history, all clients can all benefit from trauma-informed care. I have six years of experience as a psychometrist working with children and their families conducting neuropsychological assessments. I also currently work with children at Dawson Place’s Child Advocacy Center in Everett. Through this work, I provide therapeutic support for children who are dealing with a wide range of challenges. One of my strengths is therapeutically serving diverse populations of youth and families.

I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This approach was developed for children and adolescents who have experienced trauma. It has been widely studied and has shown effectiveness in managing symptoms and helping children and families recover from their trauma histories. Along with this modality, I use Polyvagal Theory, Attachment Theory, and person-centered and multicultural perspectives in my counseling approach. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, I receive close professional supervision and training.

I offer counseling in WA state for children and adolescents (ages 8-19) and their families.
