My therapeutic coworker: True - the mini golden doodle

Psychotherapist with a specialization in Trauma

(she/her)

Jenny lives and breathes adventure. She spends a lot of time outdoors, wandering around in nature. She has spent a lot of time competing in endurance sports, specifically in triathlon, mountain bike racing, and trail running. She identifies herself as a person who is both tough and tender. While she has energy and enthusiasm to celebrate her client’s victories, she has the depth of emotion to grieve with people in the midst of their pain.

While being a competitive athlete Jenny has worked in many different fields, which gives her a diverse perspective that brings understanding of the different backgrounds of her clients. While pursuing a career in Firefighting, Jenny switched gears and dove head first into the field of Trauma Therapy as she discovered the great need for FireFighters, First Responders, military and other athletes to process their trauma. Jenny also has a heart for the general public who are working through anxiety and depression and life transitions, identity issues, and self worth and value. Jenny sees the gold in people and enjoys drawing that out. She has a genuine, honest approach to therapy as she gently helps uncover the roots of her client’s trauma.

Jenny received her Masters in Counseling with a concentration in Trauma and Abuse from the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in 2022. She uses Narrative, Somatic, Attachment theory, Internal Family Systems and Emotionally Focused approaches to Therapy. Jenny helps people move from a cognitive understanding of their issues to processing the trauma that is stored in their body.  Jenny’s hope is to help people process the trauma of their childhood or a past or current traumatic event, with authentic, compassionate care.  In addition to offering in person and online sessions after the initial work has begun Jenny will offer Outdoor Therapy experiences based on the client’s needs involving walk and talk, paddle board therapy, and cold plunges.
