Certified EMDR Therapist and Approved Supervisor

(she/her/ella)

Let’s be honest—life can be rough! You’ve gotten good at pushing through, but deep down, you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or out of sync with yourself. Maybe old wounds are resurfacing, or a life change has thrown you off balance. Either way, you know something needs to shift. Now, picture a life where you wake up feeling at ease—confident, present, and empowered. That kind of peace is possible. You don’t have to figure it out alone.

Hey there! I’m Angelica - a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Millennial Latina, and proud collector of random facts and way too many plants. I help women, femme-identifying individuals, and people of color who are ready to dig deep, understand how their past is shaping their present, and finally start seeing their own worth. Together, we’ll work on breaking old patterns, building confidence, and creating a life where you feel empowered to reach your full potential.

If you’re a perfectionist, people-pleaser, over-thinker, or self-doubter—you’re in the right place. I help busy women and BIPOC professionals break free from stress, burnout, and the weight of past experiences so they can feel more at peace in their lives.

Therapy isn’t just about talking—it’s about healing and growth. We’ll tap into your strengths, tackle what’s holding you back, and work together in a way that feels supportive, validating, and empowering. My goal? To make sure you feel truly seen and heard every step of the way.

I use a blend of EMDR, CBT, TF-CBT, and other techniques, always through a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed lens. I also bring a social justice perspective, recognizing how diversity, privilege, and discrimination shape our experiences. And don’t worry—this is a real, judgment-free space where you can show up fully as yourself (yes, that includes sarcasm and swearing!).

You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Let’s take this next step together.

I received my Masters of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwest University. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor in the state of Washington. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist and also hold credentials as a Child Mental Health Specialist and Ethnic Minority Mental Health Specialist for the Latino/Latine community.

At the Shelterwood Collective, I offer virtual therapy for individuals from Gen Z to Gen X (ages 20-55). Additionally, I provide clinical consulting services and clinical supervision for therapists.

Insurance

I do not accept insurance at this time. Many insurance companies provide out-of-network reimbursements for mental health services. I encourage you to contact your insurance provider to understand what out of network benefits are provided through your individual insurance plan. I am happy to provide you with a superbill (itemized receipt of services) as needed.

I have partnered with Mentaya, a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits. If you qualify, Mentaya will file claims, and handle all of the insurance paperwork to make sure that you get reimbursed!

Location

I am exclusively offering services via telehealth for individuals in Washington State. To learn more about how virtual therapy works, click here.
