Elise Hanson
Psychotherapist
However you have come to find yourself pursuing therapy, welcome.
Being human beings on this earth is a complicated thing, to navigate life is hard work, and you are worthy of space, care and kindness within your journey. Sometimes life feels too confusing, or we encounter heartbreak, loss, and experiences of trauma and grief.
We all have places of “wilderness” - sorrow in our stories. These are the places that I hope, as a therapist, to offer you a space for processing life and providing care. I believe we are created for relationship. Yet oftentimes it is in relationships - from early on in our childhood to the present day - that inform how we go about life and that we come to form beliefs about ourselves. Together we will spend time untangling the stories and experiences of your life, to help you gain more clarity, peace and grounding for the future.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, licensed in Washington State, and received my Masters in Counseling Psychology at The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology where I was trained in a relationally focused psychodynamic modality of therapy.
When not sitting with clients, I love to explore outdoors with my pup Lupin, get lost in movies or shows, rummage about thrift stores and eat burritos with my partner.
