Psychotherapist

(he/him)

I know what good therapy can do.

I believe that therapy can help us see the patterns of behavior that we unknowingly live our lives within; that it can help us find some distance from our up-close feelings, and see ourselves with kindness; that it can bring vitality to stagnation, and enliven our sense of creativity; that it can help us pursue our desires, in every realm; that it can be a place where we wrestle with the things we thought were true, and find comfort in the midst of uncertainty; that it can reveal something about the relationships we seek, how to find acceptance where there was regret, and choose better next time; and that it can teach us how to grieve our yesterdays, when we didn’t know what we didn’t know, and find gratitude for today, and hope for tomorrow.

I am a depth-oriented psychotherapist and my approach is informed by relational-psychoanalysis, Object Relations theories, and existential humanism. In session, we will pay attention to the underlying beliefs, emotions, and relationships that have influenced who you are. The goal of this work is to bring awareness, kindness, and understanding in order to help you live a more confident, fulfilling life. My therapeutic style is grounded in kindness, a sense of wonder, and there are bound to be many laughs along the way.

I received a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology, and a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Alabama in Birmingham. In addition, I completed my clinical residency program at Shelterwood Collective, providing trauma-informed, relational support to a diverse community. As part of my ongoing clinical training, I participate in weekly supervision, peer-consultation groups, and continuing education to deepen my work with clients.

At Shelterwood Collective, I provide individual therapy sessions for adults.

I’m glad you’re here.
