Courtney Lee
Psychotherapist
(she/her/hers)
To acknowledge your struggle and believe you are not meant to be in it alone, is what brought you here and is the first, brave step toward healing. Together, we will create a trusting and safe space for you to explore beliefs and behaviors, increase self-awareness and pursue empowerment and connection. As a queer clinician of color, I believe that healing happens in community and in relationship. Integral to that healing is challenging the internal and external oppressive systems that limit and impact your mental well being.
My approach to therapy is rooted in social justice and informed by relational psychodynamic work. I am also influenced by many other modalities such as attachment theory, multicultural counseling, family systems, narrative therapy, and mindfulness. I am interested in working with individuals in a wide variety of areas including, but not limited to issues of oppression, identity development, relational conflict, depression, anxiety, trauma, vocational discernment and major life transitions.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Gonzaga University. In addition, I have completed a clinical internship at Mend Seattle, serving the QTBIPOC community from an intersectional lens.
You deserve to feel seen, heard and celebrated. You deserve space and attention for your mental health. I would be honored to join you in finding a more liberated way of living, being and relating.
