Psychotherapist

(she/her)

It is an honor to work collaboratively with my clients-- tending to your story with kindness and curiosity. As a therapist, I work to foster a safe and secure therapeutic relationship--one where you feel both freedom and holding. Together we will explore the different parts of yourself, show curiosity to the roles you’ve played in the world, learn to notice-- and when necessary--transform thinking patterns, and try on new styles of being with yourself and others.

My professional path started as an elementary and middle school teacher, and eventually led me to earn my Masters in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. Now, as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (WA #LH61125099), I have worked for an international relief and development NGO and as a behavioral health therapist across the developmental spectrum, with an emphasis on trauma and sexual assault.

As a therapist that has sat in the complexities left in the wake of trauma and pain, my work can be described as somatic, meaning we will take notice of the emotions and sensations in the body, as well as narrative, recognizing the ways in which stories from the past interact with our stories today. Trauma has a way of taking the “there and then” into the “here and now”, and therapy can be a space to pause, grieve, notice, and experience healing. I practice from a relational, psychodynamic approach, with a strong emphasis on attachment and family systems. I welcome clients of all races, ages, sexualities, religions, gender identities, backgrounds, and sizes.

I offer individual and family therapy. Currently I am working with adolescents and adults (11 years and older). Unfortunately due to COVID 19, I am not seeing children in my office at this time.
